CUHK Medical Centre Hosts Public Symposium “Fostering Medical Innovation” To Promote New Medical Experience
The CUHK Medical Centre (CUHKMC) today hosted a public symposium on “Fostering Medical Innovation” to introduce their innovative medical technology and model of care to the industry as well as the public. Professor Sophia CHAN Siu-chee, Secretary for Food and Health of the HKSAR Government, Mr. Alfred SIT Wing-hang, Secretary for Innovation and Technology of the HKSAR Government, and Ms. Imelda CHAN, Head of Charities (Special Projects) of The Hong Kong Jockey Club, officiated the opening ceremony of the Symposium. More than 200 industry leaders and members of the public attended in person while over 400 participated online.
As the first smart hospital in Hong Kong, CUHKMC is furnished with state-of-the-art medical equipment and facilities to establish smart connections while adopting numerous innovative solutions on medical procedures and hospital operation, including the latest healthcare information technology and automated medication management system, precision medical services, and a brand-new package fees model. Upholding a patient-first principle, CUHKMC is dedicated to bringing the public new medical experiences. By gathering industry elites and representatives of CUHKMC to share on the ground-breaking realisation of a smart hospital, the Symposium provides the public with a better understanding of the new medical service model offered by the CUHKMC.
Dr. Chien LEE, Chairman of the Board of Directors of CUHKMC, said, “The establishment of CUHKMC is a fresh attempt in which hurdles at early stages are inevitable.
