Introduction
CUHK Medical Centre Elderly Clinic provides multi-disciplinary geriatric service led by geriatric specialist doctor. The team includes speech therapists, dietitian and geriatric nurse to provide comprehensive assessment and personalised treatment for the elderly with swallowing difficulties and nutrition problems.
Objectives
Our clinic aims to provide geriatric services to elderly and caregivers to increase their awareness of healthy and suitable diet especially for those with swallowing and nutritional problems. We provide comprehensive assessment and intervention to improve the health status, quality of life and alleviate the burden of caregivers.
Our Services
Geriatric Specialist Service:
- Provide comprehensive geriatric and medical assessment, diagnosis and treatment
Speech Therapy Service:
- Provide swallowing assessment & treatment to the elderly with swallowing difficulties
Dietetics Service:
- Provide nutritional assessment and dietary counseling to the elderly with nutrition problems
Nursing Service:
- Provide geriatric advice and carer education
