Hearing Aids Prescription

Hearing is essential for career, study, social interaction, and leisure activities. Hearing impairment can affect clients’ quality of life and cognition. If you experience hearing difficulties, it is recommended to arrange audiological assessment with audiologists and prescribe hearing aids if required.

How do you notice hearing difficulties? When should I approach for audiological assessment and hearing aids prescription?

When you have communication difficulties with family or friends, such as :

  • Cannot perceive speech completely in noisy situations
  • Ask for repetition or “huh?” when talking with others
  • Raise the volume when listening over the phone or watching TV
  • Cannot perceive environmental sound, such as ringtone of phones, alarm clocks, warning signals, or cars approaching
  • High concentration is required in listening and it causes fatigue
