Events

The Obesity Walk 2024, jointly organised by CUHK Medical Centre (CUHKMC), the Department of Surgery at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and the Hong Kong Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, successfully took place on 17 November. Despite rainy weather, over 230 attendees completed the walk, enjoying the beautiful CUHK campus scenery.

Before the event, Prof Enders Ng, Professor in the Upper GI and Metabolic Surgical Division, Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, CUHK, Dr Fung Hong, CEO of CUHK Medical Centre, and Dr Simon Wong, President of the Hong Kong Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, delivered speeches. They were joined by Prof Andrea Luk, President of the Hong Kong Association for the Study of Obesity and Professor, Department of Medicine & Therapeutics, Faculty of Medicine, CUHK, and Dr Tellus Ng, President of the Hong Kong Obesity Society, in officiating the kick-off ceremony. The officiating guests encouraged participants to adopt a healthy lifestyle through simple daily routines.
